Tuesday's first chairs at Colorado's remaining open ski resorts looked rather amazing after between 8-18 inches accumulated in approximately a 15-hour period. Steamboat now has with 389" for the season and Winter Park with 354", giving them sole No. 1 & 2 spots for the year. Vail finally crested 300" as well, currently tallying 303" for winter 2023-24.

Colorado's remaining open ski areas and resorts received a lovely gift from Ullr from Monday, April 15 through Tuesday, April 16; fresh powder snow for skiers and riders to enjoy before the season comes to a close by month's end.

Upwards of 18 inches fell in Summit and Grand counties and even more in the backcountry around Cameron Pass and Rocky Mountain National Park.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to vote on Friday on a Palestinian request for full U.N. membership, said diplomats, a move that Israel's ally the United States is expected to block because it would effectively recognize a Palestinian state. The 15-member council is due to vote at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT) Friday on a draft resolution that recommends to the 193-member U.N. General Assembly that "the State of Palestine be admitted to membership of the United Nations," said diplomats. A council resolution needs at least nine votes in favor and no vetoes by the U.S., Britain, France, Russia or China to pass. Diplomats say the measure could have the support of up to 13 council members, which would force the U.S. to use its veto.
